We are proud to announce that we have submitted Star Singularity to Steam Greenlight!
It took us a while, but we've finally created a logo for Star Singularity.
We’ve got some new star-base graphics, what do you guys think?
I remember playing star control with a friend, both of us on the same keyboard, shouting, our keys jamming, and having a whole lot of fun.
The first boss you will meet in the game is the Ancient Miner.
Ancient miners are robotic drones designed to mine asteroid fields.
We would like to share with you more secrets about generating our randomly created galaxy. Specifically how we determine which faction each planet belongs to.
Well, A few weeks ago we worked on the galaxy map.
This week we worked on the second phase:
Randomly generating the meta data for each solar system.
At last we have a mini map.
One of the things we felt that was missing in the HUD for a long time is a mini map.
In this week’s post I’d like to tell you about factories. A Factory is a special type of building/ship in space.
Mining is a very important part of Star Singularity.
We aim to make mining interesting and rewarding but also offer a way to automate parts of it.
New! A Mothership is now your home base.
You can have it build new ships for you when existing ones are destroyed (for a price), as well as set loadouts for your ships.
This week we worked on the galaxy map.
At first we’ve used the same image for all of the location types – star system, asteroid field, nebula, etc.
Remember the Super-Melee from Star Control 2?
This is a similar idea. You choose ships for your team and for the AI’s, and then duke it out in pure space combat, with no distractions, only space battle awesomeness!
